FORTHCOMING EVENTS

21st/22nd/23rd March 2003. AGM and five round congress. County Moat House Hotel, Bedford. In addition to the Annual General Meeting which will take place on Saturday at 2 p.m. there will be the usual Open and Minor sections. Associate members are welcomed in each of these events. Entry fee for each event is £10. Accommodation for members and associate members for the Friday and Saturday nights is £35 per person per night in a single room and £30 per person per night sharing. For non members and for those staying extra nights the price will be £45 single room and £40 sharing. Price includes dinner, bed and breakfast. All bookings made after 31st January carry a £4 penalty per person. Items for inclusion on the agenda for the AGM must reach the secretary by 20th December 2002. Full payment to the organiser Stan Lovell or to the treasurer Wendy Holmes by 31st January 2003

9th to 16th August 2003. British Championship for Blind and Partially Sighted. Dauncey's Hotel, Weston Super Mare. As previously announced this will be an Open tournament. If there are sufficient entries there will also be a Minor tournament for those whose grade is 80 or below. Entry fee £10. Accommodation, which will include dinner, bed and breakfast plus afternoon tea, £210 for members and associate members or £255 for non members. Booking will commence on 1st February when more details will be given.

Members of "Junior BCA" receive free entry and free accommodation to BCA events.

Booking conditions.

All cheques should be made payable to the Braille Chess Association. Building society cheques should have the name of the sender written on the back. Post dated cheques are not accepted.

The entry fee and cost of accommodation in full should be sent to the organiser or BCA treasurer by the advertised closing date. Late entries and bookings are accepted at the discretion of the organiser and are subject to a £4 penalty per person.

BCA reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entry or to exclude any person from any event it runs.
