It is with regret that we report the death on 18th May of Peter Bond, following an illness. Peter, who played for the Inland Revenue Chess Club in London, became an associate member of BCA almost forty years ago. In 1972 he accompanied our team to an international tournament in Pula, Yugoslavia, and is remembered for taking a diving-suit with him for underwater activities! He subsequently controlled some of our UK tournaments. Peter will be known to senior members for the help he gave to our organisation.
