Treasurer’s Report

Happy New Year to you all and hopefully you all had a good Christmas. Nothing exceptional to report other than to say all the fundraising ideas were really appreciated throughout last year and what a busy year it was. Lots of activity created some surprising ideas. Please build on this for the years ahead and feed your ideas into our Fundraising Sub-Committee.

Banking details for those who may wish to make a telephone or internet banking payment to the BCA.

Name: Braille Chess Association;

Sort Code: 405240;

Account Number: 00082456.

If you choose this method of payment please add a simple description indicating what you are paying for, e.g. AGM Derby 08.

Fundraising sub-committee report: All fundraising from charitable trusts, companies and individuals have continued apace. The donations and fundraising efforts continue to allow the levels of activity witnessed over recent times. The fundraising successes are once again down to the efforts and hard work of Julia Scott the BCA’s professional fundraiser and I know you will join me in wishing Julia and her family a Happy New Year.

Thank you to all once again for your continued support. Your number remains in the draw unless you have been advised otherwise. If I could remind those of you who pay by cheque to send it to me direct, it would help with administration.

Richard Kidals, BCA Treasurer, B.A. (Hons), ACMA. FCIS.
