Eligibility Notification for those taking part in the chess – Please Read

• Coaching can only be guaranteed for those whose rating at time of booking is around 1200 or below. If you’re unsure of your rating, please fill in your preference and wait for the Organiser to get back to you before making any payment.
• If your rating falls above the trainee threshold – the Organiser will try to provide at least one coaching session if requested and you would be eligible to take part in up to two ‘How Good is Your Chess?’ sessions.
• To be eligible to take part in the quick play tournament your rating must be around 1400 or below at time of booking
• Individuals under 1400 are also eligible to join the simultaneous display
• Please note, the rating limits mentioned in this section refer to ECF over the board standard play ratings.

Please note that an emergency contact must be someone who is not also attending this event.

Photographs and video clips will be taken during the event for publicity purposes.  Typically the images will be of people playing chess, receiving prizes and enjoying social events.  

Please note that if you have missed the closing date the organiser may not be able to accept your booking and that if your booking is accepted, a late supplement of £10 per person may apply.

Examples of payments using members’ rates:

Shared Double or Twin room £60 per person per night for dinner, bed and breakfast (Seven nights for two people £840).

Single occupancy of a Single, Double or Twin room £65 per person per night for dinner, bed and breakfast. (Seven nights for one person £455). 

The cost of the midweek excursion is £15 per person.  If anyone in your booking is going, please add this to your total payment amount.

If there is an Under 18 Sighted UK resident member or an Under 25 Visually Impaired UK resident member in your booking, or a first event subsidy is being used, please note this in Other Details at the foot of this form and leave the payment amount blank as special discounts may apply.  The organiser will contact you.

Please also say if you are intending to use a First Event Subsidy, though note that full payment is required in advance as the subsidy is given as a refund after you have attended the event.

If you are unsure how much your booking will cost please leave the payment amount blank and the organiser will tell you how much to pay.  You are not committing to anything by completing this form.

Payment by bank transfer is strongly encouraged as cheques can be delayed in the post and your booking cannot be confirmed until payment has been received.

If applicable, don’t forget to mention if there is an Under 18 Sighted UK resident member or an Under 25 Visually Impaired UK resident member in your booking or a first event subsidy is being used.  You can also include any other information that you would like to send to the organiser.
